Traffic Source + Affiliate Network

Outbrain + KissMyAds

Outbrain and KissMyAds are ready to track using Kintura.

Below we'll outline how to track conversions of KissMyAds offers with traffic from Outbrain using Kintura. Please note that our session token {cid} is unique to Kintura. If you need help with another tracker let us know!

  1. Outbrain

    Traffic Source Campaign URL

    If you intend on sending traffic source postbacks, get the External ID using extid={{ob_click_id}}.

    Recommended tokens (those that can be optimized) are as follows:

    https://yourtrackingurl?pubid={{publisher_id}}&adid={{ad_id}}

    Other variables you might want to track:

    https://yourtrackingurl?adtitl={{ad_title}}&pubname={{publisher_name}}&docid={{doc_id}}&docti={{doc_title}}

  2. KissMyAds

    Affiliate Network Offer URL

    KissMyAds wants us to pass our Kintura {cid} to their offers using this query-string format:

    https://yourofferurl?aff_click_id={cid}&aff_sub={traffic_source.id}
  3. KissMyAds

    Affiliate Network Postback

    We're going to tell KissMyAds to send our conversion postbacks to:

    http://track.kintura.io/conversion?cid={aff_click_id}&txid={transaction_id}&payout={payout}
  4. Outbrain

    Traffic Source Postback

    If you want to let Outbrain know about your conversions, be sure to enable server to server traffic source postbacks with their external id (passed in the first step as {{ob_click_id}}) which will now be place in Kintura's {externalid} traffic source postback token:

    https://tr.outbrain.com/pixel?ob_click_id={externalid}&orderValue={payout}&name=EVENT_BASED_CONVERSION_NAME
