KinturaJS: Google reCAPTCHA v3 and Human Score

Utilizing Google reCAPTCHA to generate a Human Score

You may have noticed a report grouping in your Dashboard and Drilldown selections named "Human Score" -- this score is generated by implementing Google reCAPTCHA v3 on your landing page and relaying the information gathered to Kintura via KinturaJS. Google reCAPTCHA v3 is the first version of Google reCAPTCHA to be totally invisible to the end-user; running entirely in the background using Google's own internal algorithm to determine how "human" your landing page visitor is. At this time, this is highly experimental usage of reCAPTCHA. In fact, Kintura is the first platform (or organization) to utilize reCAPTCHA v3 for advertising analytics purposes.

As Google continues to refine reCAPTCHA v3, we're limiting the usage of the Human Score to reporting. Eventually, Kintura will allow you to send visitors with a low human score to an alternative offer utilizing our /offer and /out links. Please note that this is independent of our own bot filter which utilizes an internal algorithm/data to determine whether a visitor is a bot.
